Just came back from FCC Koinonia Camp.
Good experience! Met a lot of friends!
The sermons are good but the topic is old.
It acts as a refresher, nothing new to me!
Ah~ But the Da Vinci Code session is GOOD! Informative!
Too bad we’re in a rush, time is not enough.
The Games is good but it will be better if it were put in the beginning.
Then we’ll get to know our group members more.
Nonetheless, Keep up the good work FCC!!
To all my friends who is going to NUS (National University of Singapore) too.
You can join this NUSMSL Forum (NUS Malaysian Student League).
All the seniors there are very friendly and they’re very efficient in answering your questions.
Link: NUSMSL :: Index.
Currently, I’m busy cracking my head to write an application essay for the USP (University Scholars Programme).
Feeling slumpy this few days. Maybe due to the anxiety of long-neck waiting for the NUS offer letter.
Haih~ Called the Office of Admission on Monday.
It seems that I did not fill in the poskod in the Online Application Form.
That’s why the letter did not arrive.
They’re reposting the offer letter.
Phew~ Luckily!
“I know nothing that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to carry out what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do - this I keep on doing.”
(Romans 7:18-19)
Yup that’s what I feel. Feeling weak!
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in
weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my
weaknesses, so that Christ power may rest on me. ”
(2nd Corinthians 12:9-10)
Thankfully there’s a solution to the problem!
God’s grace is sufficient for me!
Why wouldn’t I’ve thought of that!
I’ve been saying the phrase “God’s grace is sufficient for me” for years!
Now I really understand!
note :
Ran across these verses when I’m reading the book “The Spiritual Leader” by Ulf Ekman.
Really good book! Strongly recommended to Christians that has the burden.
By the way, I’m now in the process of watching the Hong Kong Drama Series “Gao Umh Zhi Juenn” (九五至尊).
What “Lee DaHar” (the Hero) said really stimulate my Brain.
Astonish at the knowledge and wisdom of Ancient China!
Just some simple four letter words can really mean a lot!
In the mean time, the show really mirror the exact modern corporate world.
A simile to the ancient times in the palace.
The Fight for Power! Scary!
Really gave me an insight and some deep thoughts!
I wonder why is the materialism world concept works successfully and everyone is happily living in it?
People will try to acquire Money and Power through endless means.
Even if it means sacrificing friendship, family, self-dignity, ambition, passions……. etc
I guess “The End justify the Means” is quite true all over Human History.
Aiya, I don’t know where am I getting to?
Just trying to think and understand.
And in the mean time, make a record of my thoughts.
I guess that’s what a diary for.
For you to keep a record of yourself.
(I like the idea of “pensieve” in Harry Potter, where you can keep your memories out of your brain)
After finishing “九五至尊”, I’m hoping to watch “纵横四海” (Was that the name? Can’t really remember).
It is about economics and the hero is 刘青云。
Any idea where can I find the series?
It all begins after SPM. Normally people will work to earn some pocket money during the long-long holidays. But what I did is more worthwhile and exciting!! I went to join The School of Discipleship. It was a 5 weeks basic christianity course. It covers everything from the basic principles, Bible knowledge and Christian Philosoiphy.
5 weeks there is so FUN (first time away from home that long_). We stayed at Gereja Charis, Cold Stream with "Wah Gor" and "Lai Ze". 2 boys and 4 girls, including me stayed full time there. I remember that was my first attempt on Canvas Bed (quite comfortable actually). This training gave me insight on God’s ultimate plan and His special plan for me(although not so clear yet). What I know back then is that "no matter what we do, we must do it in such a way so that we may "Benefit Men and Glorify God"(it rhymes better in chinese : ‘Rong Shen Yi Ren’).
That Phrase was my guidance for the coming years. Everytime I need to make a hard decision, this phrase will make sure my decision-making process is on the right track. It is something like the abbrevation WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). It keeps us alert on what we are doing.
Well, eventually all course mates become my friends.
I’ll cherish every moment of the time we’re living together under one roof.
May God’s Blessings shower upon all of you!
We Shine!
Glorify God and Benefit Men.
荣神益人!
