Some Reminder for myself~@!

And so it’s exam time again~!

I wonder what have I been doing all this while.

One semester….. FIVE months~!

Nope, Joshua… you’ve done a lot~!!

  1. You have actively involved in Hall activities and campus activities~
  2. You have monitored two video productions to success.
  3. You and your team have successfully covered more than 10 hall events.
    • JCRC are happy about that~!
  4. You have been trying hard to restructure the devastated state of the Multimedia Comm. with the main comm.-ers.
  1. You and your chemistry presentation team have done a GAME SHOW, fully utilizing the power of Multimedia.
  2. You have actively participated in MSL activities~
  3. You have attended Sunday services every week with no FAIL.
  4. Youhave attended Cell Group every week with no fail, even if that means walking for more than 15 minutes to reach the meeting place.
  5. You have attended Hall Christian Fellowship every week and participate in their activities, although you’ve missed one or twice.
  6. You have performed two (and a half) times as a Eusoff Band member, once as drummer and another one half as bongo-ist.
  7. You have performed four times as a VOICES drummer, twice in concert and another twice in Central Forum as performing band.
  8. You have attended Brett Manning’s Singing Success Workshop and now you know the correct singing methods.
  9. You have attended a two-day Production Management Workshop at University Cultural Centre (UCC), learning about the Stage management and stuff.
  10. You have helped several hall mates in their video production project.
  11. You have volunteered yourself as photographer in many events, earning yourself the photographer title. (but actually you know yourself as being only an amateur photographer with much to learn)
  12. You have learned how to use Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  13. You have written numerous essays as blogs.
  14. You have attempted to apply for USP and written yet another essay expressing yourself.
  15. You have made a lot of friends; many people know you or even heard of your name. (but yet, you are still searching for a best friend)
  16. You have grown a lot spiritually. (but yet, you still have a long way to go)
  17. You have learned how to put faith in God, believing in Him and His plans.
  18. You have really done a lot~!! A lot~!! A lot~!!

BUT,
You
seem to have done everything possible but you have neglected your studies….
You proclaim that you like to study but your actions showed the opposite.

You
have forgotten your primary objective in coming to Singapore.

THEREFORE,
You
must work hard, harder than any other time! (exam is just five days away)

You
must work smart, smarter than any other time~!

You
must work not by your own strength, but by Christ who gives you strength~!

You
must do your best!!

You
must pray for wisdom when you are stuck in studies!

You
must pray for determination and motivation when you’re lazy and just don’t feel
like studying.

You
must pray for awareness and energy when you’re feeling sleepy and drowsy…

LASTLY,
You
must work hard during the holidays to pre-read all that are to come in the
Second Semester!

You
must set apart specific time just for study alone, besides all the other
activities!

You
know second semester will be another semester of chaos, madness and full of
activities!

This
time, you know what you should do and what you shouldn’t!

Tutorials
must be finish on that day itself and latest the day after.

Lectures
are to be understood on the spot, if not, please do not be ashamed in raising
your hand and ask the lecturer.

It
is only if you’ve understood and fully grasp the syllabus that you can help
others in understanding the same thing. (this is what you’ve been doing back in
secondary school and Form6)

Remember
the philosophy that you’ve been holding on all your life.

“Result
is a consequence (effect) of your effort and level of understanding! It is
never the cause of your effort or hard work!”

Another
one is

“The
process is always more important than the end product”
(the
exact opposite of “the end justify the means”)

Phew…..~

That’s
all for now,
I
must continue my “date” with Victor Tan on Calculus ^^!
