Wi-fi on Bus.
To all who read my blog faithfully, this is one post that you shouldn’t ignore,
it might just save your life (and money) from some unknown scam.
Wahaha….~
Fortunately I’ve read a similar account on kennysia.com
if not sure kena scam.
Anyway, the whole incident started on Christmas Eve where I receive an unknown phone call from some unknown company doing some market survey.
Out of courtesy, I did spend some time with them.
After that, the next call was tuesday 20th Feb, 2 months apart from the first call.
This time the lady in the phone told me that they’re having a 促销活动 at Jusco, JB tomorrow.
Ask me to go somemore.
At that point of time, I was just skeptical, but honestly I’ll say that I’m more or less 70% trusting the other side.
Too naive.
anyway, the exact moment i’m typing this, the phone rings, i suspect it’s them again. Arghhh…. didn’t manage to pick up the call.
I was actually thinking of exposing them, speak directly to their face that they’re a scam.
I hope they’ll call again.
Something to entertain myself.
Maybe I could even manage to convince the lady with the China Accent to not to work for that company anymore….
hohoho~
Actually, the last thing before the operator lady put down the phone was to ask me to call some HK number +852-3177 1783.
Anyway, here’re some links regarding this scam,
the company name might change, the person’s name might change,
but the method to scam is still the same.
Check it out~
anyway, they did call back, the latest update regarding this issue is that I’ve spoken to the operator lady directly that they’re a scam.
Wow~ the operator lady was so calm, either she believes in whatever the company is doing or she’s a super good employee, very experienced in handling such situation.
Anyway, I’ve asked her to give me their company website and INDEED, she gave me a chinese name and asked me to just do a search and the website will be up.
After some pestering, she decided to give me the english name of her company.
HAYAT COMPANY LIMITED, in chinese 夏日有限公司。
oh ya, this is a recorded conversation from kennysia on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IWVJfoLgbg
Oh ya, I on my recording software half way through the conversation with the lady operator just now.
If they’re to call again the next round, i’ll try my best to talk to the lady operator and giving her the benefit of doubt, try to convince her that it’s a scam company that she’s working for.
hahaha.~
Aha~ I know, I’ll ask for her mobile no. and i’ll send her a URL that elaborate on the exact same situation as myself, the one that kena scam gao gao.
Let’s see how.
I wonder they will call me back or not, after I’ve spoke to them directly that they’re a scam company.
huhuhu~
Maybe next round, whoever kena the same phone call, try some smart method~
hohoho~
Just wonder how to report this to the police,
publish it on local newspaper,
let more people know~
Video, Documentary Music Video specifically,
if published at the correct time,
can really create a HYPE.
Boosting the awareness to mass audience.
For a simple event in a small group,
a properly made video,
with the intention of creating awareness in big groups of people,
can really change the tide of things are run.
People will feel excited,
anticipating for the real thing to happen.
Of course, if the event doesn’t interest you
or you would rather spend your time on something else you deem more important,
no matter how great the video is made,
it’ll never achieve the same effect.
But inevitable video really has the added capability to turn the tide,
pumping spirit into an otherwise low awareness event.
For a hostel community like Eusoff gives even more purpose in using video
as a tool to broadcast events to everyone else who’s not involved.
But to achieve the desired effect,
it must be a collaboration of the video production unit and the sports committee.
Side track a bit,
an ideal situation will be every hostelite is aware of what’s happening around them,
and if possible will give their utmost support to whatever that’s happening.
Be it sports men or women, dancers, actors, band gigs, choirs, RAG performance, etc.. these are opportunities created by the hostelites for the hostelites.
Hostel has the capability to provide the talent pool for these to happen.
Afterall, whoever that goes out bears the hostel’s name,
if possible,
everyone staying in the hostel should give their support.
The reasoning is simple,
it’s a WIN-WIN choice to make,
The support that you give justifies the return of support for whoever that you’re doing.
Do you agree?
